As we've said before, and we're keen to keep making the point, care and safety of students, looking after their whole well-being, is paramount at the TEC.
That's why, apart from the overall approach of caring and supportive staff who are experienced in teaching young adults, there's also a youth worker on hand who can talk to you about your personal situation, problems and concerns.
Jason Mann, the TEC's dedicated Youth Worker, says, "I meet with everyone at the beginning of the year as part of student induction, just to let them know my role. I stay in touch with regular get togethers and on an individual basis as needed to help resolve any personal issues".
When you first start at the TEC, staff sit down with you to help identify your goals and form a plan. And then they work with you to help you get there.
So you'll never feel you're alone because we're in your corner. There's always someone to talk to, to help you work through the inevitable ups and downs of life and get you back on track as you strive towards your goals.
