Berwick TEC

PARENTS WANT TO KNOW ... "WILL MY SON OR DAUGHTER BE SAFE?" OUR ANSWER IS, "WE CARE - ABOUT PROVIDING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT AND ABOUT EVERY INDIVIDUAL'S WELFARE"

 Care and safety come first

To promote independence and work readiness, there are no session bells at the TEC and whilst the environment is more job focused, the atmosphere is open and trusting. But the important thing is there's still a strong emphasis on pastoral care for each student.

Because when you know you are in a safe environment you can get on with achieving your study goals.

Concern for the whole person

At Berwick TEC you get an integrated education. We are concerned about the person as a whole; our students' welfare is of great importance to us.

The opportunity we provide - to work on personal development and life skills, or to do sport and other activities, or to get involved with the local community and wider world - sets the TEC apart.

A smoother transition to independence

The TEC can be strange at first because it's not school and it's not adult TAFE. What you'll discover is that it's the entry point to a career or industry. And that can be a big step.

So for TEC staff it's about managing and supporting the transition all young people go through (and sometimes struggle with), from dependence at school to independence in the working world.
