There's ongoing interaction between Berwick TEC and industry. It is vital that we work closely together because for the TEC to deliver relevant, high quality training we need to know what industry wants.
As a result our programs are continuously being developed to ensure training is up to date so students gain skills that will add immediate value when they enter the workforce.
Employer partnerships
Employers get involved with Berwick TEC because they know our training is second to none and because of our commitment to work with industry and the community.
They assist us with information from the frontline of business and industry. Moreover they provide opportunities for our students with invaluable work experience which forms an essential part of their training. Not only that, some companies also provide materials for our trade areas to use in the delivery of courses.
Peak body support
Recognition comes through hard work, perseverance and consistently "delivering the goods". This is the reason peak bodies endorse Berwick TEC and provide us enormous feedback, resources and support. Students leave the TEC with the confidence that the qualifications they earn are acknowledged and accepted by industry.
Industry Advisory Group
Good relationships already exist between the trade areas at the TEC and trade associations/ industry bodies. To further build on these relationships an Industry Advisory Group has been formed to advise on course content to satisfy both required competencies and today's industry needs.
